How it works
If we want to lose weight, why can’t we just do it?
Obviously there are medical reasons for some, but others can't find the drive to do it because nothing works for them; they diet for a while and then fall off the wagon,
or find it so restrictive that they can't have a ‘life’ and generally resent the world and all within it.
Also, if you don’t believe you are worth it, not good enough or will never succeed at anything, then nothing will work for you either. Oh, maybe for the short term
or in bursts, but then this just creates a serial dieter which is not helpful for the mind, confidence or body.
Again, this is where this book is very different. From working with clients over many years, it has been evident to me that if someone doesn’t have the drive
to do it for ‘themselves’ then anything they wish to achieve will never happen.
Within the book are chapters about self-esteem, body image and confidence which are aimed to help you increase your own self-confidence and personal
strength throughout the diet and really begin to enjoy the benefits of what you are doing, not only in seeing results in your body, but also your mental attitude
which flows into other areas of your life.
Have you noticed that, when you feel low, nothing really feels worth it? Sometimes you lose interest in how you look and everything seems like it’s either
‘too much’ or ‘too difficult’?
It's time to reclaim ‘you’, the person you always knew you could be. Not just externally, but internally too. While building the internal ‘you’ up, the
external ‘you’ and image begins to change with a very simple diet routine and some very simple exercise guidelines; these guidelines change as you
change and adapt as your body reacts to each stage of dieting.
This isn’t some tree-hugging, madcap idea – it’s based on how the signaling from the brain affects our physical reactions, the rate our metabolism
works at and how the structure of our mental and emotional state can change our body’s efficiency. It might sound a bit technical, it’s all explained in
simple terms through the book.
So, let’s rebel against those restrictive diets, rebel against the diet industry, rebel against constraints holding you back and rebel against dieting
seven days a week!
The diet itself is designed so that you have a structured start to it. That way, you get to know your body and how it responds to various parts of
the diet, like high and low carbohydrate days. When you recognise those tell-tale signs you begin to know exactly how to kick-start your body
into responding again when things slow down; eventually you will just implement the diet when you need to and know exactly what to do.
This doesn't even start to give you the full run down of the book and sections of it although it gives you a better idea.
